The EUDR, Regulation (EU) 2023/1115, has applied since 30 December 2025 to large operators and since 30 June 2026 to SMEs. Five compliance questions

The questions wine merchants, brewers and chocolatiers ask us most.

All frequently asked questions

Do I have to draw up my own EU declaration as an artisan?

No. The importer or manufacturer draws up the declaration. The Depot SRL is the importer of the references it places on the market. You keep the declaration with your purchase and hand it over if your customer asks.

Does the PPWR apply to a box I give to my own customer?

Yes. The PPWR applies to every packaging placed on the EU market, including a gift box you hand to your customer.

What do grades A, B and C mean?

Grade A is mono-material and the easiest to sort. Grade B is recyclable with a limited mix of materials. Grade C needs separate sorting. Grades are targeted until the delegated acts are published.

Does the EUDR change anything for my cardboard boxes?

The board must prove a deforestation-free chain. The Depot provides the FSC chain and the supplier declaration per reference. You keep them in your file.

Do I need to be able to receive Peppol invoices myself?

You need to be able to receive and process them. The Depot sends the invoice as Peppol BIS 3.0; your accountant or ERP picks it up.
